BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — The former Colstrip police chief is appealing his recent termination.

Colstrip City Attorney Gary Ryder tells The Billings Gazette that Reinlasoder's attorney sent the city a letter notifying officials of his client's intent to take the case to the city's Police Commission.

Reinlasoder was fired by Mayor Rose Hanser on May 22 after an investigation into several complaints, including one by a female employee who said Reinlasoder told her she looked like a "freaky kind of girl that would like porn" in inviting her to look at pornography on his computer. Another woman complained Reinlasoder intimidated her during a dispute over her time card.

He had been previously reprimanded for using the city's Internet connection to transmit pornography and for failing to get permission before buying $30,000 in video equipment for patrol cars.
