First Step Benefits From Outdoor Viewing Party [AUDIO]

First Step Resource Center at St. Patrick Hospital, providing first-step medical response for victims of child abuse and adult sexual assault, received a check for $500 from Townsquare Media on Tuesday, the proceeds from the first outdoor Griz viewing party.

Director Mary Pat Hansen said the funds from the event will go directly to help victims of sexual abuse and assault that are served by the program.

The event, held in late September in Caras Park, brought together hundreds of Grizzly football fans to watch the team play Eastern Washington on several big screen TVs.

First Step staff members accepted the check at their offices in the Providence Center in Missoula.
