On Tuesday afternoon a fire was reported in the Bob Marshall Wilderness on the north side of Big Salmon Lake . On Wednesday 730 acres were affected.  As of Thursday afternoon the fire was  estimated at 2,000 acres and growing. District Ranger Deb Mucklow says this  fire has a high potential for growth.

Mucklow says right now all  they can do is monitor the fire..

Muclow says some  trails are closed in the Big Salmon Creek drainage and at this point an administrative backcountry cabin and two bridges are threatened.
