Recent heavy rainfall and reduced temperatures have granted a relief  for wild land firefighters in Missoula County. Fire Prevention Coordinator, Cindy Super says the weather has  prompted fire officials with the Missoula County Fire Protection Association to move the fire danger to “Moderate” (My interview with Fire Prevention Coordinator, Cindy Super is attached below) Open burning in permitted in  Missoula County for those with a permit. To get a permit, contact your local fire department, Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) or US Forest Service office.  There is no open burning allowed within Missoula city limits. For more information on fire and burning,  click here
