In response to the continuing hot, dry weather conditions throughout Missoula, the Fire Protection Association raised the fire danger to EXTREME in all areas of the county Monday. This marks a move from VERY HIGH and is a measure of how dynamic Montana’s fire conditions are during the summer.

In EXTREME fire danger extra caution should be used while in wooded areas, a careless spark in these conditions can lead to a wildland fire start.Considering active fires burning in the Missoula County area, please use extra caution and watch for fire fighting vehicles in and along the road and river ways.

My Interview with Director of Emergency Services, Chris Lounsbury is attached.
