An early morning fire alarm brought Missoula City firefighters to the Bel-Aire Motel on Tuesday. The fire was primarily on top of the building, and the upper floors were evacuated by police and fire personnel. Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Brandt says no one was hurt, either motel occupants or firefighters.

Brandt says the damage to the motel was only about $2500, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Brandt's comments are below..
