A filmmaker is asking Wyoming residents for footage or still pictures of former Vice President Dick Cheney for a documentary.

The Casper Star-Tribune reported Sunday that R.J. Cutler of Actual Reality Pictures placed ads in the newspaper asking residents' help.

Cheney lived in Wyoming as a teen and attended the University of Wyoming. He represented Wyoming in Congress from 1979 to 1989.

Ryan Gallagher, an associate producer at Actual Reality, says the company is looking for images that government archives and stock film companies don't have. He says said the company hasn't gotten much response.

Gallagher says the documentary is scheduled to air on Showtime next fall. He says it's too early to offer any details.

Actual Reality also produced "The Warm Room," about President Bill Clinton's 1992 campaign.
