Father Accused of Using Stereo to Assault Son Over Messy Room

An argument between 38-year-old Jeffrey Woods and his 14-year-old son ended violently on the night of Tuesday, September 25.
The incident took place on Montana street in East Missoula and was the culmination of a dispute over a messy room that the son refused to clean despite his father’s repeated demands.
According to Jason Johnson, the Public Information Officer for the Missoula County Sheriff’s office, Woods “picked up a stereo and threw it at his son, striking him in the face which caused some injuries including a black and swollen left eye and lacerations above the left eye”

Jeffery Woods was charged with assault with a weapon and taken to jail after the Sheriff’s office was informed by child protective services. Woods is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, September 26.
