GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — The Montana Highway Patrol says a woman died in a four-vehicle crash near Great Falls as snow and ice created hazardous driving conditions across the state.

The Great Falls Tribune reports (http://gftrib.com/1eSsQsZ) the 21-year-old Great Falls woman died in a crash just east of Manchester during Monday afternoon's snowstorm.

Trooper Don Lee says the woman was driving too fast for road conditions and her sport utility vehicle went into a broadside skid, colliding with an oncoming SUV. A car that slowed as it approached the crash was rear-ended by another car and the two cars slid into the SUVs.

The National Weather Service in Great Falls forecast temperatures as low as minus 20 in areas later this week and snow from 2 inches in southwestern Montana valleys to 2 feet in the mountains.
