BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — The Montana Highway Patrol says a car failed to stop for a stop sign at a Billings intersection leading to a collision with a pickup truck that killed the driver of the car and injured his passenger.

The crash happened at 5:12 p.m. Saturday and remains under investigation.

The Yellowstone County coroner's office says 23-year-old Matthew Whitehill of Carlsbad, N.M. was driving the car. His 25-year-old brother, Daniel, was taken by ambulance to Billings Clinic.

The 47-year-old Billings man driving the pickup was not injured.
