The Nutcracker - Garden City Ballet

Garden City Ballet, Missoula's Ballet Company, is pleased to present the 30th annual production of The Nutcracker, featuring the talent of Missoula area dancers, actors, and professional guest artists. Don't miss this holiday favorite full of intrigue and fantasy with a magical blend of Tchaikovsky's music and irresistible ballet. The Nutcracker is a Christmas season classic that will touch the lives of young and old alike. Missoula's very own Nutcracker, a seasonal treasure, will perform Friday through Sunday December 12th, 13th, and 14th. Show times are December 12th at 7:30 PM, December 13th at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM, and December 14th at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. All performances will take place in the Montana Theatre in the PAR-TV building on the UM campus. All seats reserved. Garden City Ballet is a non-profit organization.

Saturday Family Art Workshop: Starry Night

Is there anything better than a holiday gift hand-made by a child? The Franklin Elementary PTA is hosting a workshop! We will have all kinds of supplies, ideas and helping hands. Parents are welcome to stay and create with the kids, or drop them off and let us be the helpers.

Three full hours of crafting, stories and snacks!

Just $15 for one kid, $10 for each additional kid.

Sunday, December 14th

holiday MADE fair

Missoula's Holiday MADE Fair is more than your ordinary arts and craft market - and in its eighth year, it will be bigger and better than ever! The free alternative crafts fair, which will be held on Sunday, December 14, at the Adams Center, has expanded in size and scope, featuring handmade and artisan products from regional artists as well as family- and hipster-friendly activities.

More booths and participants than ever before: over 170 regional artists will attend.

More non-profit involvement than ever before.

More room to shop: two upper gyms have been added to the fun and the floor plan will be altered to maximize space and shopper comfort.

An extra entrance, behind Griz Stadium, and extra parking, in Lot W, will allow better and easier access.

Santa Claus will visit MADE Fair kids from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

 

The Winter Wonderettes show at the MCT and The Nutcracker with Garden City Ballet also continue through the weekend.

First Night Missoula 201521st Annual New Year's Eve Celebration of the Arts
Kids 7 and under are free, adults are $15 if you get your button in advance at more than 20 locations around Missoula, $18 on New Year's Eve day.
