The Grateful Nation Montana Fallen Soldier Memorial unveiling took place Friday night on the University of Montana campus. There was not a dry eye in the University Theater as several prominent speakers took the chance to share their experience with the memorial and personal history surrounding soldiers who gave the ultimate price for our freedom. The memorial is a tribute to all soldiers of all branches of the military who gave their lives in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The statue was unveiled next to the UM Journalism building under a snowy night while the Celtic Dragon Pipe Band played as solomn tune. This memorial stands proud in tribute, not only to those we have lost but to all those who continue to serve our country.
