January is Human Trafficking awareness month and an art exhibit will be making its way through Montana in the coming weeks to reveal true stories of those who have found a way to escape modern-day slavery. Montana Attorney General’s office spokeswoman Anastasia Burton explains.

"We are very excited that Montana will be hosting a national human trafficking awareness moving portrait gallery," said Burton. "It is called 'Faces of Freedom' and it is pulled together by Freedom 58 Project. It will kick off it's Montana exhibit in Helena on Human Trafficking Awareness Day which is next Wednesday."

Along with the Faces of Freedom exhibit, many experts in the field will discuss the causes and possible ways to prevent human trafficking in Montana.

"Speakers are slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. and they will talk about signs of human trafficking," Burton said. "I believe there will be a survivor of human trafficking to share her experience. Folks can learn more about what they can do on an individual basis to spot and stop human trafficking"

The art exhibit will continue west and will be on display at the Public House Gallery in Missoula on January 15th at 5:00 p.m.
