MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Former University of Montana cornerback Donny Lisowski has signed a three-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks.

The Missoulian reports that the contract signed Monday is not guaranteed, but it shows how the Seattle native turned a minicamp tryout into a shot to make the team.

The 23-year-old Lisowski started just one game for the Grizzlies from 2008-2010. Then last fall, he played a larger role on the field as a third corner and a nickel defensive back, racking up 37 tackles for the season.

That's nearly as many as the 45 tackles he made in his previous three years.

His agent, Ken Staninger, says Lisowski played with confidence and flair in Seattle during the Seahawks' minicamp, where he was one of 10 tryout players in attendance.
