Environmental Protection Administration regional administrator Jim Martin was in Missoula Wednesday along with County officials to announce $679,000 in Brownfields grant funding for the environmental clean-up of several properties, including the removal of lead paint, asbestos, and other contaminants at the County Courthouse.

The removal of these contaminants will help to speed the planned multi-million dollar renovation of the Courthouse, including a new Emergency Operations Center, larger Sheriff's Office and expanded courtrooms. Martin says the work will begin in the next few months, and will take up to four years to complete. Comments from Jim Martin can be heard by clicking below.
