HELENA, Mont. (AP) — An energy conference next week in Billings aims to build on the industry's growth in the state.

Montana Energy 2012 is being held next Tuesday and Wednesday at the Billings convention center.

Conference organizers say the sold out trade show will tout the state's abundance of natural resources for development.

Cary Hegreberg is executive director of the Montana Contractors' Association which is helping organize the event. He says the conference will advance the goal of making the state "a national energy hub."

Speakers at the conference will highlight development opportunities in the state.
