The Missoula Fire Department will have emergency apparatus & personnel (3 engine companies & the on-duty Battalion Chief) conducting ice rescue training in the area of the Clark Fork River between the Higgins Street & Orange Street bridges (in the area of the Boone & Crockett Club) from approximately 2:00 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. today(1-14-11). This is not a demonstration, but a technical rescue training exercise for our firefighters. Missoula County 9-1-1 has been notified – we would much appreciate your assistance in responding to any inquiries from the public regarding emergency response vehicles in the area. Questions regarding MFD's technical rescue training can be directed to Training Officer Jim Steenberg or EMS Coordinator Bill Bennett during our regular business hours at 552-6210.
