Emergency Ice Rescue Training

The Missoula Fire Department will have emergency apparatus & personnel (3 engine companies & the on-duty Battalion Chief) conducting ice rescue training in the area of the Clark Fork River between the Higgins Street & Orange Street bridges (in the area of the Boone & Crockett Club) from approximately 2:00 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. today(1-14-11). This is not a demonstration, but a technical rescue training exercise for our firefighters. Missoula County 9-1-1 has been notified – we would much appreciate your assistance in responding to any inquiries from the public regarding emergency response vehicles in the area.
