Emails Released to News Media [AUDIO]

In response to several news organizations, including KGVO Radio, the Montana University System and the Commissioner of Higher Education’s office are releasing a large number of email messages between University of Montana officials and employees regarding the subject of sexual assaults.
Associate Commissioner of Higher Education Kevin McRea says some of the emails have only been redacted to remove names of students, or issues of employee performance which are protected under the privacy laws of Montana. McRea says the news media have expressed frustration over the past few months in getting information from the University, and the release of these emails will help in providing the information they seek. In addition, University of Montana President Royce Engstrom will be the featured guest on Talk Back this coming Tuesday from 9 to 10 am. Comments from Commissioner McRea can be heard by clicking below.
