I love beans, all kinds, I’m not prejudice against any. I love black, kidney, great northern and even garbanzo. I have one small problem when it comes to beans. My kids do not care for them. I try to slip them into meals and my kids will pick them out. However, my boys just love meat. It doesn’t seem to matter what kind, elk, deer, antelope, beef, turkey, chicken, grouse and even bear. My kids are a pack of carnivores. So, I end up cooking meat every night for dinner, beans are not an acceptable substitute. I am always trying to find new recipes for meat to help feed these ravenous kids. This weekend, I found a great crockpot roast recipe on Pinterest that my kids and husband loved, and it was super easy too.

Ranch Roast Beef

1 packet ranch mix

1 packet au jus mix

1 stick of butter

1 can of green chilis

2 pound roast

Put all the ingredients in your crockpot and set it on low for 6 to 7 hours. This is great served with cornbread and mashed potatoes.
