Eastern Idaho Man Dead After Stabbing, Suspect Arrested

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office says a 20-year-old Idaho Falls man is dead after a stabbing and another man has been taken into custody. Police say they responded to a report of a stabbing about 20 minutes after midnight on Christmas Day and found Buck A. Garner had been stabbed in the chest.

He was taken to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. About 3 p.m. Christmas Day police announced they had taken into custody 19-year-old Joseph Manuel Chavez at an Idaho Falls address. Police say an investigation is continuing.
