Missoula City Firefighters were called out at about 3 o'clock Thursday morning to Greenough Park, where they found about a quarter of an acre on fire, including a 100 foot cottonwood tree that was torching flames into the night sky. I spoke with Chief Jason Diehl about the incident on Thursday morning.

Diehl says firefighters doused the flames with over 1400 gallons of water, and waited until daybreak to fell the burned tree. Chief Diehl's comments are below
