Representative Mike Menahan's House Bill 12 would make it easier for courts to stop repeat offenders, increasing the court's jurisdiction from six months to one year. The bill is now being considered in the senate. Menahan says, under current law, judges don't have enough time to monitor an offender's compliance.

Two other bills dealing with drunk driving are still moving forward in this Legislative Session.
