Dry Flying on the Bitterroot, Sunny Day Makes it Tough
It was a great day to get outside yesterday! Although my dry fly game was not on point or the sun was too bright...
The struggle is real on a beautiful day when you are on the water, it's prime time for dry flying because of the hatches but then you have to deal with the sun which does effect what the fish can see on top.
I did miss a couple sips and rises but overall it was just a slow day fishing. Maybe one of the last days you can fish these waters before they are blown out. The weather is getting nicer and that comes with a couple set backs in the fly fishing world, run-off, too much sun and more people on the water.
