Tregedy struck a Seeley Lake family on Friday when two year-old Pearl Butler drowned in Blodgett Creek, just a little over a hundred yards from her home. On Monday morning I spoke with Missoula County Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer Jason Johnson about the drowning that occurred on Friday afternoon.

Johnson says the 2 year-old toddler went missing a little after 2 pm, and searchers found her a few hours later. She was rushed to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, but life saving efforts were unsuccessful. Johnson says the official cause of death was accidental drowning. My interview with Johnson is below.
