Episode two of Health Talk featured a lively, informative conversation with Dr. Joseph Knapp. Joseph Knapp, MD, is a cardiologist who specializes in echocardiography at the International Heart Institute of Montana at Providence St. Patrick Hospital.  Dr. Knapp has practiced clinical cardiology in Western Montana for over 30 years. He specializes in advanced echocardiography imaging and the management of patients with end-stage congestive heart failure. He is the director of the International Heart Institute of Montana Foundation (IHIMF) research division. In that role, he oversees the cardiovascular research done at IHIMF: the tissue engineering research laboratory, clinical trials and clinical outcomes/comparative effectiveness. Much of the Heart Institute’s clinical research is done in collaboration with academic departments at the University of Montana.
