A habituated gray wolf from Yellowstone National Park, was killed by park staff  last week. Park spokesman Dan Hottel says the animal was  conditioned to human foods and  had been a problem since the summer. (My interview with Hottel is attached below)

Efforts to relocate food-conditioned animals have generally proven unsuccessful because they simply return to the areas from which they were removed. Hottel says the death of the wolf  serves as an important reminder that you must not feed the animals in the park
