co flickr by CT young

Progress continues with the new surf wave in Missoula.  The wave will be much like Brennan’s Wave, just downstream from Caras Park near Ogren-Allegiance Park. The Max wave will be created  in honor of  the Missoula kayaker, Max Lentz, who died in West Virginia during a 2007 kayaking accident. Linda McCarthy from the Downtown Missoula Association, professional kayakers from across the country  and the Max wave design committee are unveiling conceptual drawings tomorrow (6/30/11)  in Caras Park at one in the afternoon. Vice President of the Max Wave Committee Jason Shredder says the designs are for  a river enhancement project
