Kevin Sandberg, 51, the owner of the Ucallus designated driver service, was arrested on Saturday, November 23 on drug, assault and driving with a revoked license charges.

Missoula Deputy County Attorney Jennifer Clark said the incident began on Saturday when Sandberg allegedly assaulted his girlfriend Cheryl Anderson.

"It's alleged that Sandberg was trying to find the keys to his car and when his girlfriend was unable to find them, he became angry and allegedly grabbed her by the hair and hit her head against the dash of the car," Clark said. "She said the act frightened her, and caused her pain."

When police arrived on the scene, it was discovered that Sandberg had illegal drugs in his possession.

"When police did a search during his arrest they found a crystalline substance in his pocket that tested positive for methamphetamine," Clark said. "He was also charged with driving with a suspended license, and he already has three driving while suspended charges."

According to court documents, Sandberg claimed that his girlfriend had planted the drugs in his pocket.

Clark said Sandberg appeared Monday afternoon before Judge John Odlin in Missoula Justice Court and his bail was set at $30,000. He was still in jail as of Tuesday, November 26.
