HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A recount confirms no change in an incumbent's loss in June's House District 32 primary election.

Tony Belcourt of Box Elder lost by three votes to challenger Clarena Brockie of Harlem. The final tally was confirmed at 371 votes to 368 votes.

House District 32 stretches over both the Rocky Boy and Fort Belknap Indian Reservations. It covers parts of Blaine, Hill, Phillips, Valley, and Chouteau counties.

No Republican filed to run in the district, virtually assuring Brockie of a general election win.

Montana Secretary of State Linda McCulloch's office announced the recount results Tuesday. The close margin from the June 5 primary prompted the recount.

The election office says the identical results came from two different types of vote counting machines, demonstrating their accuracy.
