David Burgert Update

Over 40 Law Enforcement Officers patrolled the west end of Missoula County between Hwy 12 and Interstate 90 on 23 Jun.  Missoula County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted by Deputies from Flathead County as well as officers from the FBI, ATF, ICE, and the U.S. Forest Service. 

The officers worked with 2 cadaver dogs and handlers.  No sign of Burgert was found, we worked to rule out the possibility that Burgert had been injured or harmed himself during the early stages of this incident. We also searched for camps or evidence that he was still in the Graves / Petty Creek area, we found no camps or sign that he remains in this immediate area. We believe that Burgert is still alive and we continue to follow leads.
