Controlled Burn On 11th Street Postponed Until Friday

The Missoula Fire Department scheduled a controlled burn for today of a house and garage at 1840 S. 11th St. W.  That burn now has been postponed until Friday. The purpose of the burn is for training and during the exercise the entire block will  be closed to traffic as well as the intersection of S. 10th St. W. and Garfield and S. 11th St. W. and Grant. The alley running east and west between 1800 blocks of S. 10th and S. 11th will also be closed. The training exercise is expected to run from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Residents in the are are being asked to close all windows in their homes to help keep smoke from entering.
