MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — An 82-year-old Clinton woman died when the pickup truck she was riding in went off a U.S. Forest Service road southeast of Missoula and rolled.

The Montana Highway Patrol says an 85-year-old man from Clinton was driving the pickup truck on Allen Creek Road at about 6 p.m. Thursday when it went off the road in a spot where the roadway narrows. The pickup came to rest about 150 feet down the side of the mountain.

The woman died at the scene, which is west of Interstate 90 between Clinton and Turah. The man was taken to a Missoula hospital with cuts on his head. The patrol says neither was wearing a seat belt.

The victim's name hasn't been released.
