Climate change could affect Montana. Recent events in Japan have clarified how national energy systems are vulnerable to natural disasters. The National Wildlife Federation's Climate Scientist, Amanda Staudt, reports climate change is bringing more weather and climate extremes. Staudt says this can affect our nation's energy system.

Staudt says global warming has caused more heavy rainfall events in the United States over the last few decades along with an increased likelihood of devastating floods.
