At a meeting of the Committee of the Whole Monday afternoon at 5:30, the Missoula City Council and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes will propose a government to government relationship be established.

City Councilman Dave Strohmaier says the meeting will commit the city and the tribes to a joint meeting some time in the future. He says the issue of water rights, currently being adjudicated, may play a part in future meetings.

The public is invited to the committee meeting, and their comments are welcome in the City Council Chambers on Ryman, next to Sean Kelley's.
