City Councilman Praises Mayor Then Scolds University [AUDIO]

At last night’s Missoula city council meeting, ward 5 councilman Dick Haines praised Mayor Jon Engen for his
apology to a Missoula police officer for overreacting to that officer’s criticism of the University of Montana’s handling of the ongoing sexual assault investigations.

Haines then turned his criticism toward the administration at the University of Montana. Recent
e-mails made public show internal conflicts between university officials. Haines’ comments are attached.
