HAVRE, Mont. (AP) — Chinook High School wrestler Ben Stroh has been named the Montana winner of the Dave Schultz high school excellence award given by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum.

Stroh is a four-time state champion who holds the national high school record with 101 pins in a career.

KOJM-AM reports the Schultz award recognizes athletes for their achievements in wrestling and academics as well as their citizenship and community service. It is named in honor of the late Olympic and world champion wrestler Dave Schultz.

Stroh has signed a letter of intent to wrestle at the University of Wyoming.
