Egyptian Guest Teaching Arabic In School District One
Students in Arabic language and culture classes at Hellgate High School andWillard Alternative High School programs are learning from a new instructor this school year – Mohamed Abdelsamad, an Egyptian on a one-year fellowship with the U.S. Department of State. As a fellow, Abdelsamad is participating in the 2011 Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP). He is one of 25 teachers selected from China and Egypt for participation in programs this school year across the United States.

Montana's attorney general is objecting to a U.S. government policy that bars firearms dealers from selling guns or ammunition to medical marijuana users.

Grizzly Killed After DNA Links It To 2nd Mauling
Yellowstone National Park officials say they have killed a grizzly bear that fatally mauled a hiker after DNA evidence linked the bear to the scene of a second hiker's death.
But park officials say they may never know definitively whether the same bear that killed Brian Matayoshi in July also killed John Wallace in August because there was evidence of multiple bears near Wallace's body.
Anti-Stalking Kits Available During Domestic Violence Awareness Month
The Missoula City/County Crime Victim Advocate Office in partnership with the YWCA of Missoula and Student Assault Resource Center are launching an anti-stalking campaign as part of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October by providing anti-stalking kits at all three locations. Anti-stalking kits are designed to assist victims of stalking with tools to help document stalking events and to provide resources and safety tips. I spoke with Kim Brown Campbell from the Office of Planning and Grants on Monday about the issue. That interview is attached.
