Camping On County Property Now A Misdemeanor [AUDIO]

After a lengthy meeting on Wednesday afternoon, Missoula County Commissioners adopted the no-camping ordinance on County property. I spoke with Missoula County Sheriff’s Department Public Information officer about enforcement of the ordinance, which went into effect immediately. That interview is attached.
Those who violate the ordinance will be charged with criminal trepassing, a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than $500 and no more than 6 months in jail, although the Sheriff hopes it will not comes to that with the Occupy Missoula protesters.
