Campground Sex Assault

A 62-year-old man accused of molesting three girls while he was a campground host at a recreation area near Missoula has pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual assault.

The Missoulian reports Wallace Dean Christensen entered his pleas in District Court on Thursday, and Judge John Larson ordered him to be screened for release before his Nov. 4 trial.

Christensen, of Missoula, is accused of molesting the girls in his camper at the Pattee Canyon Recreation Area between 2007 and 2009. Court records say two of the girls were 8 years old at the time and the third was 10.

The records say Christensen's criminal history includes a sex offense against a child in Virginia in 1985.
