Brewers Extend Helena Player Development Contract

UNDATED (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers have announced they are extending their player development contract with the rookie-level Helena Brewers of the Pioneer League through the 2014 season.

The Helena (Mont.) Brewers have been a Brewers rookie affiliate since the 2003 season. Helena also was a Milwaukee farm team from 1985 through 2000.

Current Brewers players Ryan Braun, Michael Fiers, Mat Gamel, Taylor Green and Jonathan Lucroy started their professional baseball careers with the Helena Brewers.
