Bow hunting classes will be available throughout the state starting this month, and online registration is open now for all classes.
Here in Missoula, the first two class options are Saturday, January 19th or Saturday, February 2nd from 8:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Missoula Fish Wildlife and Parks office on Spurgin Road. Ron Aasheim of FWP says those that take either of the two classes must also complete a half-day field course on Sunday, February 3rd from 1 till 4 p.m.
Aasheim says as of Wednesday, January 2nd, 94 wolves have been taken by hunters and 38 have been taken and killed with traps.
Aasheim says waterfowl and wolves are the only game still available for hunting as the seasons wind down for the winter.
