A heartbreaking story out of Canada. The body of a child missing since early Monday morning was found in a rural area near Blairmore, Alberta, and a suspect is now in custody for the deaths of both the child and her father.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police had been searching for the missing 2-year-old girl whose father was found dead inside a home in southwestern Alberta.

Police said Terry Blanchette, 27, was killed in a suspected homicide Monday morning in a home in Blairmore,Alberta, and his daughter, Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette had not been seen since.

Police say they found Blanchette's body shortly before noon, but investigators believe the girl has been missing since 3:30 a.m. Now, the body of the child has also been recovered, but no suspects are yet in custody, but a manhunt is underway throughout Alberta.

Blairmore is about 137 miles (220 kilometers) southwest ofCalgarynear the British Columbia-Alberta border.
