GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — The Blackfeet Tribal Business Council has voted to remove councilman Jay St. Goddard from office.

Tribal council chairman T.J. Show told the Great Falls Tribune Monday that St. Goddard (SANK'-uh-dor) was removed "because the integrity of the tribe has been compromised."

The council passed a resolution in March suspending St. Goddard for 60 business days after he admitted participating in an illegal moose hunt on the Blackfeet Reservation and intimidating and threatening tribal employees.

Show says an allegation of misuse of tribal equipment was recently added to the resolution seeking to remove St. Goddard from office. He declined to release specific details relating to the charges leveled against St. Goddard because the case is still under investigation.

There is no phone listing for St. Goddard in Browning.
