With the constantly changing temperatures in the Bitterroot Valley this winter, you can see different ice structures on the Bitterroot River almost every day. The main advice we have is to stay off the river, because you have no idea how thick much of the ice layers are and the other features, such as this icewall, can collapse at a moment's notice.
