The massed pipers, followed by one of the biggest collection of clans at a Bitterroot Celtic Games and Gathering, brought the huge crowd to its feet with applause Saturday at the 9th Annual festival at the Daly Mansion grounds in Hamilton. The weather was cool to start the day, but the sun reclaimed the sky and the grand papade entry at 1 p.m. was in full sunshine. Saturday will filled with athletic competition as men and women threw stones, cabers and more. The music was constant between the pipers and drummers practicing and then competing in judged performances and invited singing and musical groups throughout the afternoon.

After a ceileigh Saturday night, the Games and Gathering will start Sunday's activities at 9 a.m. which includes athletic games fo the kids and fun adult contests such as who has the best "bonnie knees," which were shown off by plenty of wilts this weekend in Hamilton. Sunday's activities conclude about 4 p.m. The buses will also be running Sunday between Hamilton High School and the Mansion.
