BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Police in Billings say a man in his early 70s has died of injuries suffered when he was struck by a pickup while walking on a downtown sidewalk.

Sgt. Jason Gartner says an 18-year-old Billings man lost control of his pickup shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday as he made a turn at an intersection, which was slick from morning rains.

The pickup hit the pedestrian and then struck the side of a building.

The Billings Gazette reports police are still investigating and no citations have been issued.
