Last night at McEnaney Field, Andie Walt smacked a home run over the left field fence to give the Big Sky Eagles a walk-off 6-5 victory over Hellgate in 10 innings

With the win, Big Sky improved to 5-7 in Western AA play and clinched a home playoff series. The Eagles can claim either the #3 or #4 seed, depending on what happens on Friday between Glacier and Flathead.

Hellgate, unfortunately, fell to 4-8 in league with the loss and will have to travel for the postseason, more than likely to Kalispell. As I understand it, Hellgate is pretty much locked into the #6 seed.

In other playoff related news, the Loyola Sacred Heart Breakers travel to Florence on Thursday for a Western B-C affair. The Falcons have already clinched the league's #1 seed heading into divisionals, while Loyola still has an outside shot at wrapping up the #2 seed. The Breakers need to defeat Florence, and have Thompson Falls upset Mission on Saturday.

The Loyola-Florence game will be broadcast on our sister station, AM 930 KMPT as our "Game of the Week". Pregame action begins at 3:45 PM, with the first pitch slated for 4:00.
