Belgrade School Clerk Charged with Embezzlement

A former clerk for the Belgrade School District has denied charges she embezzled nearly $49,000 from the district.

KTVM-TV reports Della Little pleaded not guilty to felony embezzlement during a hearing Wednesday in District Court.

Prosecutors allege Little opened a credit card in her name on the Belgrade School District account and used it to obtain cash advances and make some purchases.

A bank employee notified school district officials when she noticed a high number of cash advances on the district card.

Little worked for the district in 2009 and 2010 before being fired.
