In Montana, the rivers keep rising, and flooding is occurring, with more on the way, as warmer weather melts statewide snow pack. The threat of spring flooding in Montana is at its highest level since 1997. Meteorologists at the National Weather Service say snow pack in the mountains is still significant. The Montana Red Cross is urging residents of flood-threatened counties, and rural areas, to be prepared. It is important to  make  a plan of action and stay informed. Community Support Director for the American Red Cross, in Montana, Lori Grannis has some tips on by building an emergency preparedness kit.

 Grannis says it is also important to have a list of emergency numbers with family and friends listed as well.
