Senator Max Baucus’ Montana Jobs Economic Engine Initiative builds upon his Small Business Jobs Act which became law last year The Initiative is designed to elevate the profile of Montana businesses that are finding innovative ways to grow, create jobs and move forward during challenging economic times.

This week, Senator Baucus continued his initiative by highlighting Stinger Welding in Libby. The company has hired more than 40 people in the last two months and is currently accepting applications for more than 50 positions immediately with hopes of hiring at least 10 people per week.

The company is currently providing 86 jobs in Lincoln County which is facing the 2nd highest unemployment rate in the state.

Job applications for Stinger can be submitted through the Kootenai Job Service  in Libby.  At full employment Stinger will be employing 1 out of 10 workers in Libby.
